CSHS PTO fundraiser

Cactus Shadows High School PTO has partnered with grocery giant Basha’s for the “Thanks A Million” fundraiser that will run through March 31, 2007.

To participate, shoppers must link their Basha’s Thank You Card to the PTO’s five digit ID number: 23057. Basha’s will donate 1 percent of the total sales linked to the PTO ID number for up to a $2,500 donation.

Funds for homeless

DVUSD – Three Deer Valley Unified School District schools are participated in a regional fundraising campaign. Called “From Our Schools to Yours.” The goal of the project,  was to collect $1 for every child at each school to donate to the J. Thomas Pappas School for the Homeless. Collectively, the schools raised $1,500, approximately $900 by Anthem, $400 by Canyon Springs and $200 by Diamond Canyon.

Canyon Springs Student Council, led by Gina Brown, presented a check for $400 to Pappas representative David Bridger on Friday Oct. 27. Bridger then spoke to the student council members and assured them that the monies they collected would be used to provide turkey dinners for every child at their three campuses in Phoenix and Tempe.
