Christmas pageant set

CAREFREE/CAVE CREEK – Every December the streets of Cave Creek and Carefree glow with the  candlelight from thousands of  luminarias. They are the guideposts to the annual Christmas Pageant to be staged at  7:30 p.m. Dec. 9‑10 at Spur Cross

For 53 years volunteers from Cave Creek and Carefree have come together to recreate the Biblical story from which Christmas originated.

The Foothills Christmas Pageant is the product of hundreds of area volunteers who work on every aspect of the production.

The annual Luminaria Run will coordinate Luminaria placement extending the route to include the way up Spur Cross Road to the pageant grounds.

The event is free to the public. Donations to help defray the costs of the production will be accepted.

Volunteers interested in helping with the luminaria may contact Meribeth Reeves at (602) 769‑0848 or sign up online at http://www.luminariarun.com.

Those who wish to sing, act in or assist with the production should call the Foothills Community Foundation at (480) 488‑1090.
