Road Restriction - Cave Creek Road will be restricted for repaving at Deer Valley Road Dec. 4‑8, according to Sina Matthes, spokeswoman for the city of Phoenix transportation. Cave Creek Road will be reduced to two lanes, one in each direction.

NEW RIVER – Maricopa County Department of Transportation issued a cease and desist order Dec. 5 to a Valley construction company that was blasting a mountainside just north of Jackass Acres along the I‑17 frontage road in order to sell the underground minerals.
