Methodist church to hold Christmas Eve services

Desert Mission United Methodist Church will offer Christmas Eve services at Bella Vista Private School, 6914 E. Bella Vista in Cave Creek. The church will hold four special services throughout the day. The first two will be held at the church’s regular worship times: 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Candlelight services will be held that evening at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Open table Communion will be offered at all services.

Cowboy Church Christmas celebration to be held on Dec. 16

Spur Cross Cowboy Church, along with Pioneer Restaurant and Pioneer Living History Museum, 3901 W. Pioneer Rd. in Phoenix, will hold a Christmas celebration at 6 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Horse‑drawn wagons at 5:30 p.m. will take attendees for a ride thru Pioneer Village by candlelight to the church service. The Christmas service will feature music, a children’s program, cowboy poetry and a reading by Pastor Dallas R. Schut. The event is free and open to the public.
