Fry’s flying high with new Anthem store

ANTHEM – Fry’s Food Stores is opening a huge new facility in Anthem that offers shoppers choices never before available to Fry’s customers, said Kendra Doyle, director of media and public relations for Fry’s in Arizona.

“It’s one of our new format stores,” Doyle says. “It’s called a Signature store and is only the second one we’ve opened. We’re very excited. It’s going to be such a fun store.”

Besides traditional shopping choices, the store will offer a kitchen shop with various kitchen items such as flatware and utensils. There’s an indoor/outdoor shop with different housewares for the home and garden.    

A bistro will serve ready‑to‑eat meals for harried moms to pick up and take home for supper. An on‑site coffee shop will serve all of the popular, cool coffee drinks.“The bakery and deli shops have been expanded,” Doyle says, “as have the butcher shop. There are just so many unique new products being offered now.

It’s very exciting.

“We talked to folks in the neighborhood and asked them what they’d like to see in their new store. One of the things they told us was to expand the nutrition department, which we did. There is also an expanded wine shop offering a variety of high‑end wines as well as the everyday brands. And, there’s a new full‑service pharmacy now.”

The concept is to tailor future Fry’s stores to the neighborhoods, Doyle explained.

“It’s truly a one‑stop shopping opportunity now,” Doyle said. “There’s everything a shopper could want right under one roof.”
