NEW
RIVER – State real estate officials announced this week
the lifting of an 18‑month‑long cease and desist
order concerning lot splits of Greer Ranch property.
Jamee
Hubler of Diamond GMAC Real Estate said the area received
word this week that the order is to be vacated and residents
can now acquire building permits from Maricopa County.
Greer
Ranch is located east of New River Road, just south of Honda
Bow Road.
The
Arizona Department of Real Estate issued the order in June
2005, stating 86 individuals who own or did own real property
within Greer Ranch were in violation of real estate subdivision
laws for attempting to split the area into six or more parcels.
As
a result of the order and a pending administrative action
at that time, the county ceased issuing
building permits to Greer Ranch property owners.
At
the time the cease and desist order was issued, the real
estate department contended those 86
persons had “evaded or attempted to evade compliance with
Arizona Real Estate Subdivision law, made misrepresentations
to purchasers and prospective purchasers or failed to disclose
pertinent information.”
