by Jason Stone

ANTHEM – Boulder Creek has been able to taste early success during the 2006‑07 wrestling season. The Jaguars have already finished third at a prestigious tournament and are undefeated in regular season meets.

The Jaguars recently took third place as a team at the Peaks Invitational in Flagstaff and came home with two wrestlers who won individual championships.

Julian Hamilton and Nathan Hay each won their respective weight classes, while Ricky Felice took second. Other placers were Mark Estrada (third), Colten Dusenberry (fourth), Zach Hayden and Chase Sullivan (fifth) and Tim Ellison (sixth).

In a four‑way meet against Alhambra, Basha and Tolleson Dec. 6, Boulder Creek was able to pull off the sweep. The Jags topped Alhambra 59‑14, Basha 43‑27 and Tolleson 60‑18.
