USPS squeezing out rural residents

I just drove about 25 miles round trip to pick up a package from the Daisy Mountain Post Office. This is at least a half‑hour out of my busy day and gasoline money out of my budget. The United States Postal Service is clearly trying to squeeze out rural people with the reduction of service to New River. Surely, I am not alone in frustration with this action. I registered a complaint with USPS by phone and would urge anyone else who has had (or will have) similar experience to call to register their opinions. We deserve the same service as the people who live in the nearby cement community. You can call the following to speak your mind:

1‑800‑ASKUSPS (1‑800‑275‑8777)

It is best to be sure that they have your name, address and zip code and that you get a confirmation number from the postal service. Let’s demand equal service.
