Auto
mall should not be built but new plans look
good
If
I had my druthers, I would prefer Westcor
never put an auto mall on that parcel of land.
However, after reviewing the CC&Rs, design
guidelines, and all of the conceptual site
plans and elevations, I am satisfied that
the project will be done in a very professional
and satisfactory manor. However, my only real
concern is that all of the guidelines and
CC&Rs are enforced such as test drives,
lighting, etc.
I
would like to publicly thank Joe Villasenor
of District 1 in Councilman Dave Seibert’s
office who returned my calls promptly, gave
me a thorough explanation of the plans and
mailed me a very detailed layout with maps,
public hearing reviews, CC&Rs, design
guidelines draft and design booklet. Now that’s
what I call working in the best interest of
residents affected by this project.
As
I mentioned in my first message regarding
this plan, I was in the dark as were many
of my neighbors. But with sources such as
The Desert Advocate and Joe Villasenor, I
am now up to speed with things and will do
my best to spread the word in a positive light
and hope for the best as plans progress. Frankly,
that’s about all I can do about it at this
point.
