NORTH
VALLEY – Goals haven't come easily for the Boulder Creek girls
soccer team so far this season. But all it took was two goals
last week for the Jaguars to get two wins.
Boulder
Creek won its first two games of the year–both by 1‑0
scores–against Camelback and Trevor Browne to improve to 2‑6‑1
this season. The win against Trevor Browne came in the Northwest
Region opener for both teams.
The
Jaguars had one more non‑region game, scheduled for Dec.
19, before taking a week off for the holiday break. They'll
return the day after Christmas to play in the four‑day
Moon Valley Cup.
In
other 5A girls soccer news, O'Connor completed its own Lady
Eagle Soccer Classic with a 2‑3‑0 record. The Eagles
had two non‑region games scheduled this week before the
break. Goldwater (1‑3‑0) will not be in action until
Jan. 9.
In
4A girls soccer, Cactus Shadows blanked Agua Fria 2‑0
Dec. 11, but fell to Pinnacle 4‑2 the next night. The
Falcons (3‑4‑0) were scheduled to play in the Greenway
Tournament through Dec. 23.
