Road Restriction - Cave Creek Road will be restricted for repaving at Deer Valley Road Dec. 4‑8, according to Sina Matthes, spokeswoman for the city of Phoenix transportation. Cave Creek Road will be reduced to two lanes, one in each direction.

The driver of this dump truck was uninjured after blacking out behind the wheel Dec.18 on Tom Darlington Road near Cave Creek Road. The northbound truck swerved across the median and narrowly missed a 12‑foot embankment. The driver told medical personnel at the scene that he started coughing while at the wheel, and the next thing he knew the truck was stopped and people were asking him if he was okay.
