Acclaimed
blues artist to perform in Scottsdale
SCOTTSDALE
– Blues musician Otis Taylor and his band will perform
on Jan. 14 at the Virginia G. Piper Theater in the Scottsdale
Center for the Performing Arts.
Taylor,
who has been performing and writing blues since his teenage
years, is widely acclaimed as one of the best of today's
blues artists.
Winner
of the 2004 Down Beat Critics Poll for "Best Blues
Album" and the 2002 W.C. Handy Award for "Best
New Artist," Taylor has been called one of the most
compelling blues artists performing today.
Taylor will perform with his daughter Cassie Taylor on
bass and backup vocals, Jonn Richardson on lead guitar,
and Zachary Miskin on cello.
The
performance is presented with support from Beth and Sanford
Hoffman. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available
