ANTHEM – The Third Annual Smile Train Toy Drive netted more than 600 new, unwrapped toys collected for the Black Canyon City and Deer Valley Unified School District Headstart programs, along with distribution to a few local children. The annual drive, sponsored by area dentist Darren L. Flowers, ran from Nov. 20‑Dec. 15. A Headstart volunteer (above) helps collect toys.
