On Saturday March 18, local Girl Scout Troop 815
teamed with the ladies from D&M Land Development
to clean up the desert area surrounding Desert
Hills Plaza at 7th Street south of the Carefree
Highway. The four hour adventure yielded approximately
23 large yard bags of debris and a pile of litter
containing a multitude of advertising signage,
tires and bedding. The girls from Troop 815 earned
money to help fund a trip to Colorado this summer
where they will experience the outdoors including
camping, fishing and horseback riding.
